Varun Karan has made a noteworthy return to the coaching position of the Nadroga Stallions for this week’s BIC Fiji FACT tournament, after having stepped down from his role following the last season’s competition. His previous resignation was attributed to the challenges of managing personal commitments alongside his coaching duties, especially the long commute from Nadi.

This time around, Karan is optimistic about addressing those logistical issues; the team is now training at Tuva College, which offers improved accessibility for both him and the players. Karan expressed confidence in the team’s depth, noting their mixed performance in the league thus far, stating, “In the league, they have been doing good, they have won some games and lost some. They gave a mixed performance, but they did well in the league.”

The Stallions are gearing up for their matches against Nadi on Friday at 12:30 PM, Suva on Saturday at 2 PM, and Labasa on Sunday at 11 AM. Fans can tune in for live commentary of the tournament on Radio Fiji Two.

Karan’s return highlights not only his commitment to the team but also the resilience and adaptability needed in coaching, especially after a period of absence. His familiarity with the players may contribute positively to the team’s dynamics, setting optimistic expectations for their upcoming matches.
