Mitieli Vasikali Kaloudroweti’s journey in the tourism industry began two years ago when he joined the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa as an intern. Since then, he has advanced to the role of digital marketing executive, where he combines strategy with creativity to enhance the resort’s digital presence.
At just 28 years old, Mr. Kaloudroweti, originally from Naloto in Verata with maternal ties to Sikituru Village in Nadi, holds a bachelor’s degree in human resource and tourism management from the University of the South Pacific. His career at Sofitel began in the talent and culture department, which functions as the resort’s human resources. He later transitioned to the front office, gaining valuable experience in guest relations that enhanced his social skills and emphasized the importance of creating a welcoming environment for visitors.
After completing his internship, he took on the position of learning and development executive, where he focused on training staff, ensuring compliance, and managing the training budget. Despite the challenges, he found great fulfillment in empowering his colleagues and fostering their professional growth.
