Education Minister Aseri Radrodro recently celebrated the induction of new prefects at Rewa Secondary School and St. Joseph’s Primary School, recognizing their significant leadership role during the Prefects Investiture ceremony. The Minister expressed his admiration for Rewa Secondary School’s impressive academic achievements, with a 100% pass rate in Year 13 and 89% in Year 12, underscoring the school’s commitment to educational excellence.
During his address, Minister Radrodro emphasized the important responsibilities that come with being a prefect. He highlighted the 21 prefects from St. Joseph’s Primary School and 36 from Rewa Secondary School as key leaders within their school communities. He reminded them of the expectations placed upon them to lead with integrity and honesty, and to remain steadfast in their values despite any peer pressure they may encounter.
Minister Radrodro provided guidance on effectively navigating the challenges that may arise in their roles. He encouraged the newly inducted prefects to lead by example, make constructive decisions, and cultivate an atmosphere of respect and support within their schools.
