For the first time in history, five government ministries were recognized at the 26th Fiji Business Excellence Awards (FBEA) 2025, which took place in Nadi on Saturday. This prestigious event celebrates the achievements and commitment to excellence among individuals and organizations across the nation, uniting leaders from various sectors including government, academia, and the private business realm.
Acting President and Chief Justice Salesi Temo, the chief guest at the event, remarked that the FBEA 2025 exemplifies the resilience and vision of Fiji’s business community. He emphasized that all businesses, whether small or large, play a vital role in contributing to the nation’s economic strength and social welfare. Justice Temo stated, “Tonight, we not only celebrate business success but also a deeper commitment to quality, sustainability, and values that are crucial for Fiji’s advancement in an ever-changing global environment.”
He highlighted the collaborative role that the private sector, together with government and civil society, plays in shaping a sustainable and inclusive economy as outlined in Fiji’s National Development Plan. “The Fiji Business Excellence Awards are significant as they honor those who excel in their fields and contribute to our collective national goals,” he noted.
The awards for FBEA 2025 were distributed in various categories:
1. FBEA Green Sustainability Award – Fiji Ports Terminal Ltd
2. Five-years of service recognition for evaluators: Sumeet Prasad, Rahul Narayan, Prinesh Prasad, Akisi Vugakoto
3. Ten-years of service recognition for evaluators: Rohit Chetty, Sanjay Sharma, Avita Singh
4. Commitment to Business Excellence Awards: Ministry of Civil Service and Ministry of Justice
5. Achievement in Business Excellence Awards: Healthcare Fiji Pte Ltd t/a Aspen Medical Ba Hospital, Raffe Group of Hotels & Resorts – Nadi & Malolo Lailai, Capital Go Freights Pte Limited, Tappoo Pte Ltd, Ministry of Education, Office of the Attorney-General, Fiji Airports, Ministry of Youth & Sports, and National Fire Authority
6. Fiji Business Excellence Prize Awards: Zens Medical Centres Pte Ltd and Flick Hygiene Pte Ltd
7. Business Excellence President Award: DHL Express (Fiji) Pte Ltd and Fiji Ports Terminal Limited
