Private hospital sponsors major sports Tourism event in Fiji

Fiji’s Sports Tourism Soars with Major Hospital Sponsorship!

Fiji’s Pacific Specialist Healthcare (PSH) Hospitals, a premier 130-bed specialty hospital, has pledged a $150,000 sponsorship for the inaugural Pan Pacific Hash 2027, scheduled to take place in Nadi from September 16-18, 2027. This event, organized by the Fiji Hash House Harriers, is anticipated to draw around 2,000 runners from around the world, further enhancing Fiji’s reputation as a destination for sports and medical tourism.

Parvish Kumar, the founder and CEO of PSH Hospitals, emphasized that this sponsorship is in line with the hospital’s commitment to promoting active and healthy lifestyles, particularly in efforts to combat non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Kumar stated, “At PSH Hospitals, we strongly support initiatives that encourage fitness and well-being, and the Hash House Harriers are great global ambassadors for this cause.”

Additionally, an upcoming PSH Foundation will support patients who face financial hardships in accessing surgeries and treatments, with proceeds from the event’s Red Dress Charity Run contributing to this charitable effort.

Event Director Dr. Ram Raju underscored the expansive global network of the Hash House Harriers, which boasts more than 2,000 chapters worldwide. The organizers have begun comprehensive marketing efforts aimed at participants from Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America.

With the advanced facilities available at PSH Hospitals, Dr. Raju reassured participants that Fiji is equipped with world-class medical capabilities to support this major event.

This sponsorship and event not only promise to positively impact Fiji’s economy but also serve as a vital step in promoting health and wellness within the community. The Pan Pacific Hash 2027 is poised to become a hallmark for Fiji in both the sports and medical tourism sectors, uniting fitness enthusiasts and bringing global attention to the nation.
