A total of 541 students celebrated their graduation from the Fiji National University’s College of Engineering and Technical Vocational Studies, National Training and Productivity Centre, and Pacific Centre for Maritime Studies at the Vodafone Arena in Suva. The event highlighted the achievements of 145 female graduates and 15 regional students, showcasing the growing commitment to inclusivity within the institution.

During the ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba addressed the graduates, emphasizing that education is a continuous journey rather than a destination. She encouraged them to embrace confidence as they step into their future, urging them to seize new opportunities and strive for excellence. “The world needs graduates like you—leaders, innovators, and change-makers who will make a real difference,” she stated.

This ceremony reflects FNU’s dedication to nurturing talent and contributing to societal development, reinforcing the importance of education in shaping future leaders. Furthermore, FNU’s previous graduation events have consistently celebrated a growing number of female graduates, indicating an ongoing commitment to gender equity within the academic landscape.

As these new alumni prepare to embark on their professional journeys, their accomplishments serve as a powerful reminder of the transformative impact of education on individuals and communities alike. The optimism surrounding this year’s graduates holds the potential for positive change and innovation in Fiji’s future.
