The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team faced a challenging weekend at the Perth 7s tournament, ultimately exiting after suffering three consecutive losses in pool play. Their campaign began with a defeat against the USA, where they lost 34–15, setting a difficult tone for the tournament. This was followed by a tough match against New Zealand, where the Fijiana team fell short with a score of 36–5. They concluded their pool stage with a 31–14 loss to Japan, leaving them without a win throughout the tournament.

Throughout their matches, the Fijiana side struggled to take advantage of crucial opportunities, which significantly impacted their performance. Team captain Verenaisi Ditavutu opted not to address the media after their disappointing exit, expressing her desire to avoid interviews at that moment.

Despite the setbacks, the experience gained in competitions like the Perth 7s is invaluable for the development of the Fijiana team. With ongoing support and training, they can work towards improving their performance in future tournaments.
