Good news, folks! An east to southeast wind is sweeping through the country like a friendly giant, making it feel just right for a casual stroll. However, don’t get too comfy—an impending trough of low pressure is planning to crash our party, armed with clouds and rain, starting from late Sunday. Brace yourselves!

Now let’s talk about the forecast until midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group: expect a mix of partly cloudy skies with brief showers trying their best to drench areas like Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Kadavu, and a few nearby smaller islands, including Taveuni. The Lau and Lomaiviti groups will also see some soggy competition. Meanwhile, the fine weather elsewhere is rolling its eyes and basking in the sun. Nights will be cool, perfect for those who like to snuggle up under a blanket. We’ve got moderate to fresh east to southeast winds and seas that are moderate to rough—perfect for a thrilling boat ride… if you dare!

Looking ahead to Sunday, mostly cloudy skies and brief showers over Eastern Macuata, Cakaudrove, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, and Ra will have everyone wondering if it’s time to bring out the umbrellas. While the other regions maintain their sunny streak, don’t let your guard down—the rain and thunderstorm bandwagon arrives later in the night, probably wanting to steal the show. Expect moderate east to northeast winds stirring things up!

Let’s break it down region by region:

For Navua/Suva/Nausori: Partly cloudy with brief showers—think of it as Mother Nature’s surprise spritz! Cool nights await. Get ready for Sunday with more of the same, plus rain and thunderstorms throwing a late-night rager.

For Nadi/Lautoka/Ba: Mainly fine and dandy, but that cool night air might just lead you to snuggle deeper into your blankets. Keep an eye out on Sunday for some rain and thunder coming to the stage later on.

For Coral Coast/Sigatoka: A hint of clouds and brief showers will be your companions, with cool nights setting a cozy mood. Sunday promises more of the same before the rain and thunder decide to make an appearance.

For Tavua/Rakiraki: Partly cloudy with some showers over Rakiraki, while the rest of the area stays fine and breezy. Sunday features brief showers in Rakiraki again, with thunderstorms gearing up for a late-night performance.

For Natadradave/Korovou: Expect partly cloudy skies with brief showers and cool nights. Sunday isn’t bringing much change, but the thunder will be kicking off later in the night.

For Yasawa/Mamanuca group: Mainly fine with cool nights, which sounds like a perfect excuse to enjoy a cozy evening. Sunday will hold onto that fine weather before the rainy party starts.

For Labasa: Mainly fine and cool nights mean you can catch those z’s comfortably. The rain and thunder will be waiting for you on Sunday.

For Savusavu: A bit of cloud and brief showers will keep things interesting along with cool nights. Sunday continues this trend before the thunderstorm ensemble shows up.

For Lau and Lomaiviti Group: Prepare for partly cloudy skies and brief showers with cool nights. Sunday will stick to the plan before rain and thunderstorms take the spotlight.

For Kadavu: The skies will also be partly cloudy with some brief showers and cool nights to help you chill out. Sunday holds mostly fine weather before thunderstorms decide to shake things up later.

For Rotuma: A STRONG WIND WARNING is in place! Winds are blowing at 20 to 25 knots, causing some rough seas along with those cloudy periods and showers. Sunday might throw in some isolated thunderstorms for dramatic flair.

Remember, pack your umbrellas and maybe sprinkle in some cozy vibes because it will be an interesting evening ahead!
