Weather Update: The Rain Saga Continues
Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi

Attention all enthusiasts of moisture and clouds: buckle up because a HEAVY RAIN ALERT is still playing tag across the entire Fiji group! Yes, it looks like our skies are prepping for a drenching competition.
Current Situation: A low-pressure trough is throwing a cloud party over Fiji, and it’s expected to stick around for a few days. So, grab your favorite raincoat, or better yet, a rubber ducky!
Forecast until midnight tonight for the Fiji group: Expect a mix of partial clouds with a special feature: afternoon or evening showers across Western Viti Levu (think Sigatoka to Nadi, and Lautoka to Ba; it’s a rainroad show!). Thunderstorm performances are also on the agenda, so don’t be surprised if Mother Nature decides to crank up the volume.
Other areas can anticipate occasional rain and *cue the dramatic music* a few thunderstorms, potentially leading to localized heavy falls. Grab an umbrella if you’re near flood-prone zones; there’s a chance they might need the extra help in the afternoon and evening.
We’re on a ‘wind-fresh-to-moderate’ advisory, not to mention those gusty moments during heavy rains and thunderstorms—like nature’s surprise party guests. Prepare for moderate to rough seas as well—don’t go surfing unless your idea of fun involves being bounced around like a pinball!
**Outlook for Friday:** More rain, perhaps? Yes! Occasional showers with scattered thunderstorms can be expected over the Yasawa, Mamanuca groups, and parts of Viti Levu. But don’t worry—by the end of the day, it may ease up to just some showers. It’s like having a rainy day picnic, only without the picnic.
