Fiji Weather Update: Easterly Winds Bring Increasing Showers and Isolated Thunderstorms

Weather Report
Brought to you by the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi at the delightful hour of 7:30 PM on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

Situation: An enchanting easterly breeze is fluttering through Fiji, while a rather moody trough of low pressure threatens to sprinkle some showers upon us from the north on Monday. Think of it as Mother Nature preparing to give us her best dramatic performance—clouds and showers included!

Forecast for the Fiji group until midnight tomorrow:
Expect a skygazing party with cloudy spells and a few showers making appearances over Navua, Suva, Nausori, Korovou, Tailevu, and Serua-Namosi-Naitasiri-Ra province. There’ll also be some rain over the interior and eastern areas of Macuata, Cakaudrove (including Taveuni and its tiny buddies), along with Southern Bua province, Kadavu, Lau, and Lomaiviti. Just wait though—those showers are putting on a show and are expected to become more frequent as tomorrow rolls on. Elsewhere, you might experience fine weather with only a few isolated afternoon or evening showers and maybe a thunderstorm or two (you know, for dramatic flair). Just a heads up: isolated heavy falls are possible, so consider yourself warned. Expect moderate to fresh easterly winds and seas that might feel a bit moody—moderate to rough.

Outlook for Tuesday:
We’re keeping the weather drama alive with occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms making their way over Navua, Suva, Nausori, Korovou, Rakiraki, Serua, and surrounding areas. Bring your umbrellas in case you need to dodge raindrops! Elsewhere, it’s a cloudy affair with afternoon or evening showers and perhaps a few more thunderstorms—we’re all in for the show! Isolated heavy falls are still hanging around, looking to make an appearance. Winds will remain moderate to fresh, and seas will stay moderately rough—how exciting!
