Here’s what’s brewing in our beautiful Fiji until midnight tomorrow:
Expect a few cloudy periods trying to steal the spotlight, especially over Navua, Suva-Nausori, Serua-Namosi, Naitasiri-Tailevu, Rakiraki, Cakaudrove, and Southern Bua provinces, along with our small friends Kadavu and the nearby islands, and the Lau and Lomaiviti groups. In other areas, a part-time cloud or two might mingle with a sprinkle of brief afternoon or evening showers. And don’t forget to grab a cool blanket – it’s going to be a chilly night!
Winds will be moderate and coming from the east to southeast, sometimes feeling a bit cheeky and fresh. Oh, and the seas? Well, they’re trying to make waves too, with moderate to rough conditions expected. So, perhaps leave the surfing for another day!
Looking ahead to Friday: More clouds are auditioning for a role in Navua, Suva-Nausori, Serua-Namosi, Naitasiri-Tailevu, Rakiraki, Cakaudrove, and the same island crew as before. For the lucky areas that have decided to play it cool, a fine day awaits – though those pesky afternoon or evening showers might still crash the party.
Here’s your localized forecast:
Navua / Suva / Nausori: Expect cloudy periods with a possible cameo from some showers.
Sigatoka/Coral Coast: Expect to bask in partly cloudy skies with a brief shower or two resembling a seasoned performer in the afternoon or evening.
Nadi / Lautoka / Ba: Partly cloudy with the occasional sassy shower appearing just to keep things lively.
Tavua/Rakiraki: Cloudy weather will reign supreme over Rakiraki with some showers, but in the surrounding areas, the sun will decide to peek out for a quick visit in the afternoon or evening.
Natadradave/Korovou: Expect a similar performance as before, with cloudy periods and some showery guest stars.
Yasawa/Mamanuca group: Partly cloudy vibes today, but don’t be surprised if brief showers decide to drop by in the afternoon or evening.
Labasa: Slightly cloudy with those charming afternoon or evening showers.
Savusavu: Get ready for some cloudy periods and the inevitable sprinkle of showers.
Lau/Lomaiviti: The theme of the day is cloudy periods with some showers.
Kadavu: Once again, cloudy periods are trying out for the shower gig.
Rotuma: Hold onto your hats! A strong wind warning is in place for Rotuma’s waters, and those easterly winds are dancing around at 20 to 25 knots. Expect rough seas, cloudy periods, and those dramatic thunderstorms to spice things up.
Forecast for Friday: Cloudy periods and showers are locked in, with the potential for thunderstorms trying to steal the show!
