Situation: An active trough of low pressure lies over the group. Associated cloud, showers and rain are expected to affect the group till later tomorrow.
Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:
Occasional to periods of rain, heavy at times and a few thunderstorms. Flash flooding of low-lying areas is likely. Rain and thunderstorms gradually clearing from the west from early tomorrow. Moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds, gusty at times. Moderate to rough seas.
Outlook for Friday: Cloudy periods with brief showers over Sigatoka-Korolevu, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups. Mainly fine elsewhere. Cool at night.
For Navua / Suva / Nausori:
Occasional to periods of rain, heavy at times and a few thunderstorms. Rain gradually easing to showers from early tomorrow.
