Vodafone Fiji is set to officially kick off its 5G network next Monday, marking a significant milestone in Fiji’s technological landscape. According to Vodafone’s Chief Technology Officer Vikash Prasad, this rollout is made possible following the approval of a commercial license and the allocation of the 5G frequency spectrum. Initially, the deployment will focus on key urban areas such as Suva, Nadi, Lautoka, and Denarau, particularly targeting commercial centers and emergency services.
Prasad emphasized that the introduction of 5G will transform connectivity experiences for customers, offering faster internet speeds, lower latency, and the ability to support numerous connected devices.
