Fiji Heavy Rain Alert Triggers Flood Risk Across the Fiji Group Through Tomorrow

Heads up: a heavy rain alert remains in force for the whole Fiji group. The trough of low pressure currently over the area is stacking up clouds, showers and rain, with a decent chance of flash flooding in low-lying spots. Thunderstorms may show up now and then. Expect rain and storms to ease as you head west tomorrow morning.

Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:
Occasional to periods of rain, heavy at times and a few thunderstorms. Flash flooding of low-lying areas is likely. Rain and thunderstorms gradually clearing from the west from early tomorrow. Moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds, gusty at times. Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for Friday:
Cloudy periods with brief showers over Sigatoka-Korolevu, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, plus Lau and Lomaiviti groups. Mainly fine elsewhere. Cool at night.
