The Minister for Youth and Sports, Jese Saukuru, visited Tawake Village in Cakaudrove on August 14 to distribute grants to two youth clubs. The Veitacini Youth Club and the Nagasauva Youth Club were the recipients of these funds.
During his speech on International Youth Day, Saukuru highlighted the vital role of youth in utilizing digital technologies to promote global development. He acknowledged their position as digital natives and encouraged them to overcome challenges such as the digital divide. Saukuru urged young people to leverage their digital skills for community advancement and reassured them of the government’s support in helping them achieve their potential.
He is set to continue grant distributions today, August 15, at the Public Rental Board Hall in Labasa, Macuata.
