Defending champions Dawasamu Secondary School from Tailevu are poised to defend their U18 title in the Weetbix Raluve competition after a hard-fought 19-12 victory against Shri Gurunanak Khalsa College from Labasa.
Dawasamu took control in the first half, taking a strong 19-0 lead at halftime. Although Shri Gurunanak mounted a spirited effort in the second half, Dawasamu maintained their composure to secure the win, advancing to the semifinals where they will face Natabua High School.
Natabua, meanwhile, had a dominant performance in the quarterfinals, achieving one of the largest victories by defeating Nasinu Secondary School 41-0, thanks in part to the talent of sprinter Frances Tuva.
