CART Max Fiji Pte Ltd, known as Cart Max Pet Shop, successfully launched its first vaccine and pet health outreach event at Shirley Park in Lautoka on Saturday. This initiative aims to assist pet owners who have faced challenges in transporting their animals.

Based in Namaka and operating since December, the clinic is committed to serving the needs of pet parents in the Nadi-Lautoka corridor, a region where many pet owners struggle with logistics. Veterinarian Dr. Dakshil Kumar noted that the idea for the outreach emerged from the clinic’s desire to make veterinary services more accessible to residents in this area. “We need to expand our services especially to those here in the Lautoka-Nadi corridor because many pet parents are not able to bring their pets to Nadi, and transportation is an issue,” he explained.

The event witnessed a significant turnout, with Dr. Kumar expressing hope that they would be able to attend to all attendees despite the time constraints. The outreach included two dedicated service stations: one focused on retail products such as pet collars, food, and preventive measures against fleas and ticks, while the other was dedicated to veterinary services. The clinic offered free consultations along with a vaccination drive, reflecting its commitment to enhancing pet health in the community.

Additionally, while the clinic previously provided de-sexing services at its Nadi location, Dr. Kumar has plans to extend these services to local communities through future mobile outreach events. “We do de-sexing and we also have plans in the future to have a de-sexing outreach,” he confirmed.

This initiative not only showcases the dedication of Cart Max Pet Shop to animal health but also highlights the importance of community support for pet owners, paving the way for better care and services in the region.
