Barry Keoghan has recently had the opportunity to meet legendary Beatles drummer Ringo Starr, whom he will portray in an upcoming biopic series. The meeting took place at Starr’s home, where the two enjoyed a relaxed conversation in the garden. Keoghan shared this delightful encounter during his appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
The actor, known for his role in “Saltburn,” expressed his initial nervousness but ultimately began to relax and absorb Starr’s unique mannerisms to enhance his portrayal. He noted, “He asked me to play but I wasn’t playing the drums for Ringo,” highlighting a natural and awe-inspiring moment when Starr casually performed on the drums for him.

Keoghan’s casting as Starr was announced by the drummer himself in November, who mentioned that he felt it was “great” to have Keoghan on board and humorously remarked that he believed the actor was likely “somewhere taking drum lessons.”

The entire series, which is described by Sony Pictures Entertainment as “the first bingeable theatrical experience,” is set to hit theaters in April 2028, promising an exciting cinematic journey for Beatles fans.
