Baby Jack’s Expands in Fiji: A New Store for Growing Families!

Baby Jack’s, the well-known children’s retail chain, has opened its fourth store in Fiji, marking an important step in its growth. The new outlet is situated within the Damodar complex in Suva. This addition follows the launch of the first Baby Jack’s store on Renwick Road in Suva back in 2016, with the Lautoka location opening in 2021 and the flagship store in Nadi debuting in 2023.

Rayna Chandra, Senior Marketing Officer at Jack’s of Fiji, stated that the first Baby Jack’s store received enthusiastic praise upon its opening in mid-August 2016. She noted that there was significant demand from Central customers for more locations, leading to the planning and eventual opening of the new store within the Damodar complex.

Chandra highlighted that the Damodar complex attracts thousands of visitors daily, and she believes that the new store will enhance the business environment and atmosphere of the complex. Baby Jack’s offers a range of in-house brands like Katchi Kid’s, Crazy Jack’s, Firstribe, and Jackie K, as well as international brands such as Ryco, Bright Starts, and Avent. The store provides comfortable, stylish, and affordable clothing for children along with feeding essentials, home necessities like strollers and cots, and an extensive selection of educational and recreational toys.

Jack’s of Fiji’s Group Marketing Manager, Akash Narsey, shared his insights on the new store, explaining that the integration of the Baby Jack’s section into the Damodar store aims to create a comprehensive shopping experience for parents and children. He emphasized the unique position of Baby Jack’s in the market, which rivals competitors cannot replicate.

Narsey mentioned that the investment of approximately half a million dollars for the expansion also allowed for the hiring of up to ten additional staff members. He reaffirmed Jack’s of Fiji’s commitment to investing in the local economy and hinted at plans for more store openings in the near future.

Losana Lewanibeto, an employee who joined the team last year, spoke about her positive experiences as part of Baby Jack’s growth. She noted the transition from a smaller department with limited stock to a larger space that now offers a wide variety of products, which customers have come to appreciate. Lewanibeto also highlighted the supportive work environment, expressing gratitude for the understanding and encouragement she receives as a single mother, which makes her job a good fit for her lifestyle.
