Arson Confirmed in Suva’s Defence Club Fire

The National Fire Authority has determined that the fire at the Defence Club in Suva is classified as arson. The incident occurred earlier this year on February 27. NFA Chief Executive Puamau Sowane stated that the investigation into the fire has been completed, and the report indicates that the cause of the fire is arson, based on its origin and source. The case has been forwarded to the Police Crime Office. Additionally, Chief of Crime ACP Mesake Waqa confirmed that they have received the report and that investigators will now begin analyzing the findings.
