The Stratum Construction Suva football team is focused on their physical training as they approach the highly anticipated 2025 BiC Fiji FACT tournament this week. Team president Nitin Singh expressed optimism regarding their preparation while observing the team’s training session at Buckhurst Grounds in Laucala Bay, Suva.

Singh stated, “Preparation has been good under the guidance of our coach, and we’ve been concentrating heavily on physical training.” The team has successfully qualified for this tournament after finishing in the top eight of the Extra Premier League, thereby emphasizing their readiness for the challenges that lie ahead.

Despite the automatic qualification, Suva is aware of the competitive landscape, as Singh noted the difficulty of the Extra Premier League and the preparation that all teams undergo for significant tournaments. “When tournaments are held on our home soil, the expectations from the fans are always high,” he mentioned while encouraging supporters to come out in numbers, wear white, and back the team enthusiastically.

Suva boasts a history of success within this tournament, having claimed the title three times in 1995, 2020, and 2022, while also finishing as runner-up multiple times. Their opening match will be against Labasa at 7 PM on Friday, which promises to be an exciting start to the tournament.

Similar past articles indicated the competitive spirit surrounding the tournament, with contrasting teams vying for glory on a national stage. The local football community pulses with excitement as fans prepare to witness thrilling matchups, reaffirming their support for the teams involved.

This year’s Fiji FACT serves as a beacon of hope for fans and players alike, showcasing local talent and fostering a sense of community through sport. With high stakes and community pride on the line, this tournament is set to ignite the passion for football in Fijian hearts.
