Stella Marist Primary School has quickly established itself as a strong contender in the 2026 Suva Primary Schools Netball competition, which commenced last Saturday at the National Netball Centre in Suva. Building on an impressive track record from the previous year, where they clinched titles across multiple grades, the school is eager to maintain its winning legacy in this season’s matches.
Maria Helen Vosalevu, the captain of the under-13 team, shared insights into their rigorous preparation and aspirations for the competition. “We’ve been training consistently, working well together, and focusing on communication,” she stated. Their dedication was evident in their opening match, where they secured a commanding 8-0 victory.
Despite their competitive spirit, Vosalevu emphasized the importance of enjoyment, remarking, “We just want to have fun when we play.” This balance between a love for the game and the drive to defend their champion title is set to fuel their journey in the tournament. With their strong foundation and team camaraderie, Stella Marist Primary School is poised for another successful season.
