Six police officers have been charged with various offenses, including abuse of office, assault resulting in actual bodily harm, fraudulent financial advantage, unlawful possession of illegal drugs, and wrongful confinement.

Acting Police Commissioner Sakeo Raikaci stated that police officers themselves are often victims of crime while performing their duties.

He revealed that a total of 171 officers reported being victims in 219 incidents, with 33 facing multiple counts in these cases.

These incidents involved serious assaults, resistance to arrest, and obstruction of officers in the execution of their duties.
