Hold onto your hats and umbrellas, folks! We’re in for quite the splashy affair as a HEAVY RAIN WARNING is still in full swing for the Yasawa and Mamanuca groups, Viti Levu, Kadavu, and a handful of nearby islands.

If you thought it was just going to be a mild drizzle, think again! A HEAVY RAIN ALERT is waving its banner for the rest of Fiji, so consider this your official notice to find that trusty raincoat—preferably one that also repels spontaneous dancing in puddles.

Here’s the sitch: An active trough of low pressure is currently throwing a rain party over Fiji, while northerly winds provide a breezy entrance.

Forecast until midnight tomorrow:
Expect on-and-off rain, with heavy downpours crashing the party—and don’t be surprised if a few thunderstorms decide to join in over Yasawa, Mamanuca, Viti Levu, Kadavu, and those cheeky little islands nearby. Elsewhere? Well, strap in for some occasional rain that seems to have heavy ambitions.

Warning: Localized heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas, so keep your eyes peeled and your floaties handy! Winds will be moderate to fresh from the north, and the seas will be moderate to rough.

Now, looking ahead to Friday:
The rain continues its enthusiastic stay, with heavy bursts and possibly a few more thunderous applause. As the day rolls on, we might see that rain take a hint and ease into some showers.

For specific areas:
– **Navua / Suva / Nausori**: Expect the same rainy vibe with a few thunderstorms.
– **Sigatoka/Coral Coast**: The rain will strut its stuff, accompanied by storms.
– **Nadi / Lautoka / Ba**: Look forward to a similar forecast, with rain making frequent appearances.
– **Tavua/Rakiraki**: More of the same—rainy and stormy!
– **Natadradave/Korovou**: Hold on to that umbrella, as rain and storms will rule the day!
– **Yasawa/Mamanuca group**: Keep your goggles at the ready for rain and thunderstorms!
– **Labasa and Savusavu**: Gentle rain and the occasional rumble from above—sounds like a cozy indoor day!
– **Lau/ Lomaiviti and Kadavu**: Showers with heavy moments are on their way, so prepare for wet socks!
– **Rotuma**: Expect intermittent heavy showers and a sprinkle of thunderstorms. Sea conditions? Moderate to rough, so maybe save the sailing for another day!

And there you have it! It looks like we’ll be enjoying a whole lot of “liquid sunshine” in the coming days. Stay dry, stay safe, and perhaps stock up on hot chocolate!
