In Laos, Secretary Austin will take part in the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM)-Plus on November 21, reinforcing the United States’ commitment to ASEAN’s central role and exploring future collaboration opportunities with counterparts in the region. The trip will wrap up in Fiji, where Secretary Austin will make history as the first U.S. Secretary of Defense to visit the country, focusing on strengthening the bilateral defense relationship with key Fijian leaders.
