Rob Rush, the second son of renowned New Zealand Sevens player Eric Rush, has joined the All Blacks Sevens team in Cape Town. His inclusion comes after the squad faced significant losses, with senior players Joe Webber and Andrew Knewstubb sidelined following a challenging 14-0 defeat to Argentina in the bronze medal playoff at the Dubai Sevens.

Rob steps in to fill the spot left by Webber, while Fletcher Carpenter replaces Knewstubb. Fans are particularly excited about the prospect of watching Rob compete alongside his brother Brady during the tournament, which adds a personal touch to the team dynamics.

The All Blacks Sevens are set to kick off their tournament against the USA Sevens at 11:54 PM tomorrow, followed by a match against France Sevens at 3:35 AM on Sunday morning.

This development brings a sense of hope and enthusiasm to the New Zealand team’s campaign as they aim to bounce back from recent setbacks and showcase their talents on the international stage.
