New Zealand’s newly appointed High Commissioner to Fiji, Greg Andrews, officially presented his credentials to Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, marking the commencement of his diplomatic mission in Fiji. The ceremony recognized Andrews as New Zealand’s official representative, granting him the authority to act on behalf of the New Zealand Government.
Following the formal presentation, High Commissioner Andrews expressed his gratitude and excitement about his new role. “Ni sa bula vinaka, it is deeply humbling to formally take up my role as New Zealand’s High Commissioner to Fiji,” he stated. Bringing a wealth of diplomatic experience to his position, Andrews has previously served as New Zealand’s Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg, Romania, Bulgaria, and Moldova. His extensive background includes a role as Deputy Head of Mission at New Zealand’s Mission to the European Union, further showcasing his qualifications for this important post.
