The Ministry of Finance has named Mohammed Jabid as the new head of administration, while Seremaia Seru has been appointed as the head of Government Fleet.
Mr. Jabid brings with him a wealth of experience, having dedicated 16 years to public finance management, policy formulation, and strategic management. Most recently, he served as an advisor to the board of directors at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Manila, where he participated in significant policy discussions and development initiatives. His previous role in the Budget and Fiscal Policy Division of the Ministry of Finance further highlights his expertise, as he was instrumental in shaping national budgets and formulating economic policies over 12 years.
In his new position, Mr. Jabid will aim to enhance corporate governance, streamline operational processes, and boost administrative support services. He holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce with a focus on Economics, in addition to a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Financial Management.
Seremaia Seru, who has been acting in the role of head of Government Fleet since June 2023, possesses 20 years of experience in public administration and fleet management. His recent appointment solidifies the Ministry’s recognition of his dedication and thorough understanding of fleet operations. Mr. Seru holds a postgraduate certificate in Business Administration.
Overall, these appointments reflect the Ministry’s commitment to strengthen governance and improve service delivery.
