The Nadroga Andra Sangam Netball Team is actively preparing for the upcoming 2026 Andra Sangam Convention. Based in Sigatoka, the team has initiated trials and training sessions, attracting significant interest from players across the Nadroga region.
Judy Kumar, the president of Nadroga Andra Sangam, expressed optimism about the initial trials, noting that over eight girls participated in the first two days. Kumar anticipates even more players from Suva and Lautoka to join the team on weekends, further strengthening their roster.
Kumar extended gratitude to the Nadroga Netball Association for their crucial support in developing Indo-Fijian players and bolstering team spirit. In addition to his presidential duties, Kumar will serve as the team’s coach, guiding them as they progress toward the Convention.
Training sessions are currently scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays at Lawaqa starting at 5 PM, with additional sessions on other days at the Sigatoka Andra School Ground at the same time. Kumar encouraged more girls interested in netball to come forward and participate in this exciting preparation journey for the 2026 Convention.
