Mother Fights for Justice After Classroom Assault: What Really Happened?

A mother is seeking justice for her son after he was reportedly assaulted by a peer during class, sparked by a dispute over a missing glue stick. Zaima Khan alleges that her son was attacked on June 11, 2025, during a period when students were left unsupervised. Notably, Khan claims the school principal acknowledged the existence of CCTV footage that captures the incident.

Describing the event, Khan noted that while other students were present and giggling, none intervened to help her son, who refrained from fighting back as he believed he was in the right. Following the assault, medical examinations revealed her son sustained bruises and injuries to his head and hand, prompting Khan to file a police report.

Education Minister Aseri Radrodro commented on the incident, affirming the school’s stance against bullying and confirming that the matter has been addressed internally, with the students involved referred for counseling. As the police continue their investigation, they have confirmed that the alleged assailant was questioned and released.

This incident echoes broader concerns regarding safety in schools, as noted in previous reports of student violence. For instance, earlier this year, multiple students at a different school faced similar attacks, calling attention to an urgent need for enhanced safety measures and conflict resolution strategies within educational institutions. Such repeated incidents highlight the collective commitment of communities and authorities to foster safe learning environments conducive to growth and well-being. The ongoing dialogue surrounding these issues is essential for implementing effective solutions that protect students and promote a healthy school culture.
