The Miss Pacific Islands Pageant Secretariat has officially announced a partnership with FBC as the broadcaster for this year’s highly anticipated event, aiming to bring comprehensive coverage to viewers in Fiji and the wider Pacific region.

Pageant Director Ana Tuiketei expressed her enthusiasm about collaborating with FBC to provide high-quality television content for both local and international audiences. This partnership not only strengthens the already established relationship with Fiji’s national pageant organizers but also marks a significant effort to enhance the presentation of the regional showcase.

Tuiketei confirmed that contestants from seven Pacific Island nations will start arriving in Fiji this week, with the official welcoming of participants planned for Saturday. The festivities will be hosted in Nadi where a variety of activities—ranging from team-building sessions to cultural exhibitions and behind-the-scenes events—are scheduled throughout the pageant week.

The reigning Miss Pacific Islands from Samoa, Litiara Ellen, is also set to arrive in Fiji, adding to the excitement surrounding the event. Tuiketei noted that preparations for the Fiji contestant are going smoothly, citing strong discipline and commitment from Team Fiji. She highlighted that this year’s event is particularly special, as it marks nearly a decade since Fiji last hosted the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant, with the last titleholder being crowned in 2016.

Tickets for the pageant are currently available for purchase at Ticketmax, inviting fans to be part of this spectacular celebration of culture and beauty. FBC TV Manager Sitiveni Halofaki welcomed the new partnership, affirming FBC’s dedication to elevating broadcasting standards as Fiji’s national media outlet. The pageant will be aired on FBC TV and streamed on the Viti+ platform, reaching audiences in Fiji and extending to 16 other countries worldwide.

This collaboration represents a promising opportunity to showcase the beauty and diversity of the Pacific Islands and is poised to generate enthusiasm and pride among participants and viewers alike.
