Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Professor Biman Prasad, held a meeting with Professor Gita Gopinath, the First Deputy Managing Director of the IMF, at the 2024 International Monetary Fund/World Bank Group Annual Meetings taking place in Washington DC.
The discussions revolved around global economic developments, future projections, and potential risks related to increasing geopolitical tensions and climate change.
Meetings will continue throughout the week with the World Bank President, the IMF Managing Director, the COP 29 President, and various other bilateral engagements.
