Two of the three men accused of breaking into the Alison Supermarket at Laucala Beach on Monday morning are scheduled to appear in the High Court in Suva next Friday. Leone Lesumailepanoni, aged 43, and Sosiveta Raura, aged 51, faced Magistrate Charles Ratakele yesterday, where they were charged with four counts of robbery each.

The charges stem from an incident in which the men, accompanied by a third suspect, allegedly entered the supermarket wielding cane knives and threatened the cashier to hand over cash from the register. The third individual involved in the incident was released by police following the investigation.

Magistrate Ratakele ordered that the two men remain in custody until their upcoming court hearing.

This incident highlights ongoing concerns about crime in the area, but it also serves as a reminder of the justice system’s efforts to address such issues. Law enforcement is actively working to resolve cases like this, which may lead to enhanced safety and security for the community.

Summary: Two men are awaiting trial in Suva for their alleged involvement in a supermarket robbery, emphasizing the commitment of authorities to ensuring justice and community safety.
