Recently, his life took a significant turn when he received a call from Osea Kolinisau, the head coach of Fiji Airways men’s 7s team, naming him to the national squad. This opportunity brought both excitement and challenges for Boginisoko, a 26-year-old from Kadavu, who is determined to balance his family obligations with his ambition of representing Fiji on the international stage.
“This call is well deserved after years of commitment, even when it meant putting my family’s needs behind as I chased this sporting dream,” he stated. Kolinisau admired Boginisoko’s dedication, noting how he often communicated that he might be late for training due to his responsibilities selling fish to support his family.
Boginisoko made a remarkable debut at the recent tournament in Singapore, scoring a crucial try against South Africa in the semi-final.
