The Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup recently wrapped up at Churchill Park in Lautoka, attracting football enthusiasts and players from all parts of Fiji. The tournament not only provided thrilling matches but also highlighted extraordinary football talent.

The champions of the tournament, NZFFI Auckland All-Stars, made a significant impact off the pitch by visiting the Nadi Center for Special Education. As part of their philanthropic efforts, they generously distributed soccer balls to the students and committed $1,500 to support the 2025 Back to School Stationery initiative.

Continuing a tradition of giving, Narend Narayan, Chairman of the America Fiji Sports Commission, made a notable contribution of $5,000 to WOWS Kids, an organization dedicated to assisting children battling cancer. Narayan, known for his long-standing commitment to charitable causes, reiterated his dedication to uplifting the lives of children in need.

Fiji FA President Rajesh Patel expressed deep appreciation for the contributions made by both teams, emphasizing that their support transcends football and significantly affects those in need. He remarked that this generosity exemplifies the true spirit of the tournament.

Patel also shared that Fiji FA will maintain its support for WOWS Kids through proceeds from ticket sales, with $1 from each ticket sold during the four-day tournament going towards the organization. He noted that Fiji FA has already donated over $60,000 as part of its social responsibility initiatives and affirmed their ongoing commitment to making a positive difference in the community.

This tournament not only celebrated football but also illuminated the power of community and the importance of giving back. With such contributions, it is hopeful that more children will receive the assistance they need, showcasing a collective effort to foster compassion within society.
