The Digicel Fiji Women’s Futsal team left this morning for the first-ever OFC Women’s Futsal Nations Cup, which is being held in the Solomon Islands. The tournament will run from August 17 to 25 and features five teams competing for a chance to represent Oceania at the inaugural FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup in the Philippines next year.
Fiji’s tournament journey will begin with a match against Tahiti on August 17, followed by a game against Tonga the following day. They will also compete against New Zealand on August 20 and face the host nation, Solomon Islands, on August 23.
