Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka received a ceremonial Guard of Honour upon his arrival at Parliament House in Singapore, where he was welcomed by Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. This marks the beginning of Rabuka’s official two-day visit aimed at strengthening the partnership between Fiji and Singapore, particularly focused on collaboration for sustainable and inclusive development in the Asia-Pacific region.

This is Rabuka’s second visit to Singapore since his first trip in 1998, emphasizing Fiji’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations. During the ceremony, both nations’ national anthems were played, followed by a formal inspection of the parade.

The discussions between Rabuka and Wong are expected to center on key areas such as climate resilience, digital innovation, and other regional cooperation priorities essential for fostering economic growth and stability.
