Fifty executive prefects have been selected to join the 2025 student council at Tilak High School in Lautoka, with Epeli Rokotunidau appointed as head boy and Kaliyyah Lalabalavu as head girl. During a ceremony, the newly elected leaders expressed their gratitude and recognition of the responsibilities that come with their positions.
Rokotunidau emphasized the council’s role in leadership, stating, “This badge symbolizes leadership but more importantly, it gives a sense of collective responsibility to create a positive and inclusive environment for all.” He pledged to be a collaborative leader, committed to improving the school for everyone.

Similar to leaders at All Saints Secondary School, Miriama Watikili and Mesake Cokanauto, who have shared their gratitude and commitment to their peers, Rokotunidau and Lalabalavu’s aspirations reflect the growing belief in student leadership as a pivotal element in fostering positive school environments.
Education Minister Aseri Radrodro has also reiterated the importance of these leadership positions in previous speeches, noting the role of student leaders in navigating challenges like peer pressure and bullying.
