The Fijian Drua Women’s rugby team, under the guidance of coach Ifereimi Rawaqa, has announced a strong 26-member squad for their pre-season trial match against the Brumbies Women taking place this Saturday in Canberra. This match serves as a crucial opportunity for the team to prepare for the competitive 2025 Super W season.

The lineup features a well-balanced combination of experience and emerging talent. The front row is fortified by loosehead props Bitila Tawake and Loraini Senivutu, with Keleni Marawa and Isabella Koi taking the hooker positions. At tighthead, Vika Matarugu, Tiana Robanakavu, and Anasimeci Korovata will add strength and stability.

In the lock positions, Asinate Serevi, Fuga Ofakimalino, and Mereoni Nakesa are set to provide critical support, while the back row features Nunia Daunimola at blindside flanker, Alfreda Fisher at openside, and Karalaini Naisewa at number 8.

The halfback duo of Kadavu players Evivi Senikarivi and Kolora Lomani will drive the team’s play, complemented by flyhalves Salanieta Kinita, Luisa Tisolo, and Setaita Railumu. In the midfield, Josivini Naihamu and Alowesi Nakoci will take charge, with veteran Drua members Vitalina Naikore and Merewairita Neivosa on the wings. Rounding out the squad are fullbacks Repeka Tove and Imeri Nai.

This pre-season trial matches against the Brumbies provides an excellent platform for newer players to showcase their abilities, with several athletes, including Salaseini Railumu and Litiana Vueti, seeking to earn their spots on the main roster.
