Fiji Women’s Futsal Team Aims for Glory at OFC Nations Cup

The Digicel Fiji Women’s Futsal team left for the inaugural OFC Women’s Futsal Nations Cup in the Solomon Islands this morning. The tournament will be held from August 17 to 25 and features five teams competing for the opportunity to represent Oceania at the first FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup slated for next year in the Philippines. Fiji’s journey begins with a match against Tahiti on August 17, followed by a game against Tonga the following day. They will also compete against New Zealand on August 20 and face the host nation, Solomon Islands, on August 23.
