Situation: Hold onto your hats, folks! An east to southeast wind flow is taking charge over the islands, so it might feel like Mother Nature is having a bit of fun with us today.
Forecast until midnight tonight for the fabulous Fiji group: Expect some cozy cloud cover and the occasional shower to sprinkle over the southeastern areas of Viti Levu. This includes hot spots like Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu, Naitasiri, Ra-Rakiraki, and the interior of Ra. Southern Bua and Cakaudrove provinces, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu, Taveuni, and Qamea aren’t getting off scot-free either; they’ll join in on the rain dance.
Now, don’t put away your sun hat just yet! Other parts will be basking in fine weather, though you might get surprised by an isolated afternoon or evening shower—think of it as a surprise sprinkle that keeps you on your toes!
Feeling adventurous? There may be some afternoon or evening thunderstorms rolling through the interior and western half of Viti Levu areas (hey Ba/Ra, Rakiraki, Nadi/Lautoka, and the interior Ra/Ba and interior Nadroga/Navosa!) as well as in Macuata Province.
Get ready for some fresh east to southeast winds that could have you tossing your hair like a music video star, and seas that might be moderate to rough for those of you thinking about sailing.
Outlook for Sunday: A repeat of the cloudy shenanigans! Showers are forecasted over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, Ra-Rakiraki, and areas in eastern Macuata and Cakaudrove provinces, with a splash of excitement expected in Kadavu, Taveuni, Lau, and Lomaiviti groups. Other areas will remain mostly fine with a bit of shower action later in the day and possibly some isolated thunderstorms too!
