According to a family member’s social media post, while the victim was walking, the two teens blocked his path, with one brandishing a needle and demanding he inject himself. Fortunately, the situation escalated, causing the assailants to flee when members of the public came to the scene.
Assistant Commissioner of Police for Crime, Mesake Waqa, has announced that the Crime Officer in Nausori has been assigned to lead the investigation. In light of this incident, the Fiji Police have urged anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity on Tuesday afternoon, specifically between 4 PM and 5 PM, to contact Crimestoppers at 919.
