Now, what’s brewing in the sky today? A timid little trough of low pressure is coming in from the west, seemingly tiptoeing into our lives while the east to northeast winds toss confetti over the Fiji group.
From now until midnight tomorrow, expect the clouds to put on a show over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Eastern Macuata, Cakaudrove, Lau, Lomaiviti, Kadavu, along with those adorable smaller islands, Taveuni, Qamea, and Cikobia. Meanwhile, further afield, some parts will be partly cloudy, but don’t be fooled! The afternoon might still sneak in some isolated showers.
Feeling a bit stormy? There’s a low risk of a dramatic afternoon thunderstorm, so if you see people running for cover, remember it could just be Mother Nature flexing her muscles over Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.
The winds are on the moderate side—think of them as your slightly grumpy uncle, blowing east to northeast but ready to do a dance and switch to southeasterly by tomorrow. And don’t worry about the seas; they’re moderate too, just like your average cup of tea.
Now, let’s take a peek into Friday’s crystal ball: Expect more cloudy periods with those familiar brief showers over many of the same areas. If you live in Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, or any other charming Fijian retreat, rejoice! You’ll get to enjoy partly cloudy skies and only a teeny tiny chance of afternoon or evening showers.
Here’s how it looks for your specific spots:
– For Navua/Suva/Nausori: Yup, more clouds and showers—heaven knows you can’t have too much of a good thing!
– Sigatoka/Coral Coast: Just a sprinkle of fun clouds and some evening surprises in the form of isolated showers—gather your umbrellas!
– For Tavua/Rakiraki and Yasawa/Mamanuca: More likely to hit those isolated showers while keeping the vibe partly cloudy. Talk about mood swings!
– In Labasa: Keep those showers isolated in the afternoon and evening, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying the day!
– Savusavu folks: Prepare to welcome cloudy periods with some showers.
– Lau/Lomaiviti and Kadavu: Yes, we hear you! More cloudy periods with some showers on the way—your weather is predictably unpredictable!
– And over in Rotuma, it’s all about the easterly winds and fine weather, with just a hint of showers here and there.
