A flash flood warning is currently in place for Viti Levu, as reported by the Fiji Meteorological Service, while nearby Vanua Levu is under a flash flood alert. Authorities are particularly concerned about vulnerable areas along the Nakauvadra River in Rakiraki Town, Naseyani near the Yaqara River, the Tavua River, and the floodplains of the Ba, Nadi, and Nawaka Rivers.

Residents living in these areas are urged to remain vigilant and to take necessary safety precautions. Officials strongly caution against crossing flooded roads, rivers, or any submerged crossings, advising both drivers and pedestrians to exercise heightened caution and comply with official directions.

The Coalition Government is actively collaborating with relevant agencies to monitor the situation closely and will provide further updates as needed. The public is encouraged to stay informed through official communications from the Fiji Meteorological Service.

As the community faces these challenging weather conditions, it is crucial to prioritize safety and vigilance in order to navigate through this period effectively.
