Team Fiji is set to compete in the World Aquatic Championship, which kicks off today in Budapest, Hungary. The Fijian team comprises three talented swimmers: Hansel McCraig, Marselima Moss, and the 19-year-old Olympian Tolu Young, who will proudly represent their nation at this prestigious event.

The team arrived in Budapest earlier this week and is currently acclimating to the conditions. Tolu Young, in particular, is considered one of the favorites for Fiji, following a standout performance at the Olympics.

The championship is scheduled to run from Tuesday, December 10, to Sunday, December 15. This event not only highlights the athletes’ dedication but also showcases Fiji’s growing presence in competitive swimming on the international stage.

As the competition unfolds, there is a sense of pride and hope for these athletes to achieve personal bests and inspire future generations of swimmers in Fiji.
