Fiji Gears Up for Mini Games: Team Unveiled and Appeals Process Announced!

The Fiji Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee (FASANOC) has officially revealed the final lineup for Team Fiji ahead of the upcoming Pacific Mini Games in Palau. Comprising a total of 186 members, the delegation consists of 73 male and 63 female athletes, alongside essential support staff and team officials.

In adherence to FASANOC’s Selection Justification Policy, athletes or officials who think they have been omitted from the selection unfairly have the option to appeal. Appeals must be submitted in writing by 11:00 PM on May 11, 2025, and should clearly outline the reasons for the appeal.

FASANOC is also working closely with National Federations to ensure all financial obligations are met, thus providing athletes the chance to compete at this prestigious event. This proactive collaboration underscores the commitment towards enabling athletes to showcase their skills effectively at the Games.

This announcement reflects a positive momentum as Fiji’s athletic community rallies together for a strong representation at the Mini Games, scheduled from June 29 to July 9, 2025. Previous coverage highlighted Fiji’s robust athletic talent, with standout performances from the Coca-Cola Games fueling hopes for success on this international stage.

There is an uplifting spirit among the athletes and the community, embodying the shared ambition to enhance Fiji’s reputation in regional sports. Such efforts not only underscore the commitment to athletic excellence but also inspire a sense of national pride as they prepare to compete against other nations. The collective enthusiasm for the Mini Games serves as a hopeful reminder of the potential for success and camaraderie among Fiji’s athletes.
