The Fiji Football Association Player Status Committee is set to convene tomorrow to address four players’ controversial transfer applications. This comes in the wake of the recent conclusion of the pre-season transfer window on Sunday.
Among the cases on the agenda are the proposed transfers of Isikeli Sevanaia and Kishan Sami, who seek to move from Lautoka to Ba. Additionally, Lautoka players Aporosa Yada and Iowane Matanisga are also under review for their applications to transfer from Rewa to Labasa.
Rohitesh Narayan, the Player Transfer and Licensing Manager for Fiji FA, stated that these disputes were forwarded to the committee following standard procedures. Until the committee arrives at a resolution, the involved players will not receive the necessary clearance to finalize their transfers. Narayan emphasized that all submissions from the relevant clubs will be taken into account during the review process.
This careful consideration by the Fiji FA showcases the organization’s commitment to ensuring fair processes in player transfers, ultimately benefiting the players and the sport’s integrity.
