Extra Bula FC head coach Stéphane Auvray is urging fans to remain patient as the club develops its skills in the OFC Pro League. The team has demonstrated potential during its stint in Melbourne, with Auvray noting the players’ commitment and intensity, even amidst some inconsistent match results.
The coach believes that many fans, particularly those who have closely followed the games, recognize the club’s current phase of growth. He remarked, “I believe most of the fans understand that we’re in a building phase. When people watch the game live, they see the intensity and the amount of work the players produce.”
Auvray emphasized the importance of continuing to support the players as they adapt to their roles within the team structure. “We’re just going to keep going this way, and at some point, things will pay off with even more success. Just give us time to work properly, and when the time comes, we will reap the fruits,” he stated.
Additionally, Auvray expressed gratitude for the continuous backing from fans, both in Melbourne and Fiji, highlighting the significance of their encouragement during this inaugural professional season for the team. “It’s important for our players and the country because it’s the first time we have a professional team. We’re thankful for the support and hopefully fans are looking forward to when we return home to play,” he added.
Extra Bula FC will face Tahiti United in their upcoming match on the 15th of this month, and there is hope that continued support will usher in greater success for the team as they progress.
