Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro has emphasized the importance of addressing school-related concerns within established channels, urging the Queen Victoria School community to refrain from discussing internal issues publicly. Speaking at the school’s prefects’ induction ceremony, he highlighted the need for professionalism in handling matters affecting the educational environment.

Radrodro stated that proper dialogue grounded in respect and adherence to established processes is crucial. He expressed that by doing so, the dignity and reputation of the institution are protected. “School issues must be dealt with professionally within the school,” he remarked, reiterating that unity and a sense of responsibility are vital for maintaining the school’s standards.

The Minister reminded students and staff of the significance of mutual respect in their interactions, encouraging individuals to prioritize readiness and responsibility over self-interest. He cautioned against the divisive effects of political agendas and social media, emphasizing the detrimental impact these can have on trust within the school community. “Public disputes undermine trust and distract from what truly matters — students’ learning and development,” he noted.

Radrodro encouraged prefects to lead by example, facilitating open communication and constructive problem-solving among their peers. He concluded by affirming that the legacy of Queen Victoria School is rooted in principles of discipline, respect, and unity, calling on all members of the school community to uphold these values moving forward.

This message not only reinforces the importance of a collaborative school environment but also reflects a commitment to nurturing a respectful and responsible educational space, laying a positive foundation for the future development of the students.
