Extra Bula FC midfielder Thomas Dunn has urged his team to focus on the positives following a challenging match in which he was honored as the OFC Pro League Player of the Match. Dunn played a crucial role in defense, covering extensive ground and effectively neutralizing South Island United’s attacking threats during the closely fought match.

While Dunn’s individual accolade reflects his strong performance, he expressed a sense of disappointment regarding the team’s overall outcome. “First of all, I’d like to thank them for the game today, giving us the strength. I’m a bit disappointed with the results, but no excuses. We will work on our next upcoming matches and be better,” he remarked.

Despite the frustration of not capitalizing on scoring opportunities, Dunn emphasized the importance of their defensive work as a solid foundation for future matches. “Lots of positives. I think from now it’s moving forward. This game’s done. We’ll go back with the coaches, and they’ll help us work on our mistakes,” he stated.

Looking ahead, Dunn noted that the squad is committed to continual improvement as they prepare for their next challenge. “Come the next round, we’ll be better,” he added confidently. Extra Bula FC is set to face Tahiti United on the 15th of this month, a match that presents an opportunity for them to bounce back.
